I guess I should have warned you about this… Starscream invasion.
Say, can you guess who is my favorite character? (sarcasm).
“Chain of Command” was not the best episode, there’s no getting around that. It was especially bad for Starscream fans, who were rightly upset over the writers’ steering him into full coward mode and using him for comic relief, which was especially jarring after the competence and courage he showed in “Rebellion.”
Daughter: What was that little Beyonce move with his neck and shoulders? He might as well have snapped his fingers in Z formation!
We re-watched the move 3 times, collapsing in fits of giggles, before continuing on with the episode. (Please, someone with mad skills, gif that moment!) So, the episode was not a total loss in our house.

Starscream used to have striped, silver-tipped stilettos!
Starscream is so fabulous. And the animation is so detailed. I love the way his right ankle is cocked, as if a little unsteady on his heels. The animators know exactly what they’re doing.
Every child should grow up to be fabulous.

I watched the preview for Transformers: Prime “Crossfire” tonight, but my mind stalled at this.
This is worth a full read. It’s a funny, spot-on summary of Mulan’s gender-bending calisthenics.
p.s. Having come out not long before Mulan was released, the song “Reflection” still makes me misty.
